What do cans and bangles have in common? Cangles. Designer bracelets for women that positively impacts the environment. This Michigan family business is firmly committed to producing beautiful American made jewelry.
A retired AT&T technical specialist, a commercial tile layer, a court reporter, and a housewife, were heartbroken to see their once thriving family neighborhood poverty stricken due to unemployment. This served as the catalyst for a two-year mission to turn lemons into lemonade or rather discarded aluminum cans into designer bracelets for women. These committed individuals had no background in jewelry-making yet were able to develop a special process to safely and consistently manufacture Cangles.
Cangles handmade jewelry line consists of high quality bangles for women and now even men. They also offer earrings, hair clips, necklaces and even license plate dust bins!
Organizations such as Save the Earth Foundation licensed exclusive upcycled Made in USA jewelry from Cangles. Proceeds from those sales help the organization’s education and research initiatives.
The goodwill does not stop there. The aluminum can tabs are donated to the Ronald McDonald house in Detroit, Michigan. Also, with every purchase that you make, Cangles will contribute a portion of that sale to any number of organizations including:
- The Food Bank Council of Michigan
- The Wounded Warrior Project
- Cass River Pet Friendz
- Save the Earth Foundation
- Autism Speaks
- Community Food Pantry
- Susan G. Komen for the Cure
It is worth noting that the family behind Cangles contributes to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Nicole Emily Briggs (1986 – 1990). Also, in memory of their mother, Shirley Jean, they have five specially-designed Cangles “Cure” bracelets. One dollar is donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure for every purchase of the “Cure” bangles. They also make a special bangle for American hero Travis Mills.
Cangles, fashionable green jewelry is kind to our environment and especially to our communities. RedWhiteBlue.co is proud to support their efforts and strongly recommends that you take a look at their designer bracelets for women and men.
